RECORDING

In 1982 I opened a 16-track studio in Brixton, London. This soon became a 24-track facility, used extensively by many artists and record labels including Virgin Records and Universal.

I do most of my own recording on my compositions, whether it be a single flute or a 60-piece orchestra, a solo singer or a 100-piece choir.

I have recorded on a wide variety of mediums, in multiple venues, under many conditions, numerous times.

My recordings/mixes have been played on most television stations in most countries across the globe.

EDUCATION

  1. I have delivered lectures on writing music to picture to A level and undergraduate students, in school and university settings.
  2.
  3. I was employed by NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and Arts) to run song-writing workshops in many schools across the whole of England. This programme was extremely successful and was repeated for three successive years.
  4.
  5. Over the last seven years I have run workshops for young people between the ages of eight and eighteen, teaching them how to play their instruments within a pop/rock ensemble. I now have taught eight groups ranging from five to eleven members. Three of these groups are still together.
